In 2023, Cherry Truluck was the third and final community artist-in-residence for Chase and Chalke, a landscape partnership within the Cranborne Chase National Landscape (formerly called the AONB).  Each of the artists-in-residence, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, led community workshops aimed at finding creative ways to increase and encourage access to the beautiful countryside of Cranborne Chase for people living in urban areas nearby.

Cherry’s project, called Edible Ebble, centred on a series of edible adventures along the River Ebble which connected people to the unique chalk stream landscape, ecology and seasonality through their own food memories and dreams.  Following the workshops, she created a community-sourced recipe collection based on local ingredients and local people.

Documentation of all the artists workshops and the artistic outcomes of them (including the Edible Ebble recipe collection) form a part of the CHASE AND CHALKE exhibition at the Young Gallery from 30th March until 11th May.
